Try ice fishing in comfort on Lake Newell, Alberta with Tip Up Ice Shack Rentals

The new 2023-24 ice fishing season is approaching fast and we will have the shacks on the lake as soon as the ice is thick enough.  With roughly a 90 day fishing season there will only be about 13 weekends.

We have a new shacks added so there are more shacks to choose from. We hope to hear from you soon.

Check for available shacks by date

We are offering a seniors discount of 50% in the Social Shanty on Sundays.

Having the comfort of an insulated, hard walled shack in winter to keep out the cold and wind is indispensable and a wood stove makes the experience almost as good as home.

The season typically starts in the 2nd or 3rd weekend of December (the exact date will be determined by the weather and ice thickness), and will end on March 15.
